Making Money With Your Website

It might be shocking to know the amount of websites that have been started as a way to make money, but died a terrible, early death. The content was absolutely insane, the pictures were too ugly, plain, or overly outrageous, and the map navigation was too hard to understand. Not to mention every time a visitor tried to enter the website, they received that dreaded error message. Do not let your new business bury itself in a world of abandoned websites and blogs.

It is necessary, it is extremely vital, and it is absolutely essential to set up good interaction with and even among your customers, readers, and fans and followers. Make the writing enjoyable, and watch the fan base and loyalty in customers increase. This is the best way to make money with a website.

A business website needs something that other companies cannot offer. Research the rival websites and competition. Study their website, their prices, their customer service. When finished, take the information and improve what you already have. Make it better. Make it stand out. Make it unique.

Quality writing is king and queen of Internet business. An ordinary, boring will be just like all those other websites that people pass over without even a second glance. Paying a high price for a quality writer is important because if content does not blow the competition away, the website may be doomed.

It is vital to understand a website does not need all the bells and whistles and fancy gadgets. While that looks nice and can draw a lot of attention, remember that customers are coming to a website for a product or service, not a fancy website design. Keep the graphics amazing, but do not short change the graphics. Everything must be top notch and top quality.

There have been too many companies that have drown in their own mistakes. They may be a graphic genius, but when it comes to writing the web copy, they fail miserably. It goes both ways. If you want to make money online with a website, everything must be perfect. There is way too much competition out there for half- hearted work.

Logo Design #9

Just made up this logo for fun. I liked the the yellow streak and just started adding fonts and colors.

Ink and Pen Logo

What do you think? I like this one and I am thinking about using this logo over at Ink and Pen Writer...

InScope Logo Design Contest

Here are two of the logos I created for a contest. I entered three designs. I am sure you have guessed by now that I did not win this contest with these logo submissions. I am also pretty sure that you think I have never won a contest, right? From the big ones? No, but it was fun and I learned so much by entering the "big" contests. The smaller ones are much easier to win, or at least place as a finalist. So I have learned to participate in the smaller offerings and leave the big wigs to the big designers.

Internet Advertising

Why does a business send SMS advertising to customers and clients? Reasons for email messaging include special promotions and sales, advice, tips, and inspiring ideas for their business, and perhaps an invitation to a seminar or webinar. Whatever the reason, if the newsletter regularly ends up in a junk folder, or spam filter, a company has wasted time, money and efforts.

If a company regularly sends out email newsletter, they may want to think about SMS advertising as an alternative. Spam filters are great assets to email systems. No one likes spam, even when it lands in the spam folder. A business does not want their newsletter to end up in the black zone hole. Maybe companies are aware of this idea already or maybe they have no thoughts about SMS messaging. Either way, if they neglect this tiny, but helpful tip, many clients may never see their newsletter, even after they signed up for an invitation.

SMS advertising really is a better form of advertising. SMS messaging is a great source for generating new traffic to a business website. The best way to make sure a web site gets notices is to include a linked signature at the end of the message. This definitely brings more traffic to an Internet website and to local businesses as well. A store having a one day sale can send out a bulk SMS to all customers who have signed up for a newsletter.

The link should be about one line long. More than one line will crowd the page and leave only a limited amount of space in the message. The link should be one that has the highest rank of the web site. Include in the link a title of the website followed by a great sales pitch to encourage visitors to click on the link and visit the online website.

Logo Design - PSC

This logo belongs to Pleasant and Sons, PSC. I have designed three logos for PSC. You can see the one for their blog here.

Mobile Marketing

One of the best features of an Internet business brand is the marketing. Advertising, marketing and promoting the brand is how top company’s stay in front of the competition. Mobile marketing works better than any form of marketing because everyone has a smart phone.

Marketing and advertising have come a long way since the Internet started a wide spread use in the public arena. Not only can a business advertise on blogs, business ads, marketing pages, and even other business websites, now they can jump into mobile marketing. A business should think about the audience and who they really want to reach as their target before deciding on what type of marketing they want to use for their business. A business will benefit more from a group of targeted people who will respond to its efforts of marketing. They are the ones to reach out to with mobile marketing. Remember that the entire world will not be interested in every website or business.

Putting a text message together is pretty simple to do. The best suggestion is to write five texts on the theme of the business. Keep the texts short. There is no need for long, drawn out texts that actually end up being 3 or 4 texts. These text messages can be used to promote the business over a five-day period. Send these texts through a quick hi, how are, friendly way, one per day, for five days. Make sure to write texts on meaningful and interesting information. A good way to get blocked from a number is to send worthless, nagging messages.

Determining whether or not a mobile marketing campaign is working for a business is a crucial part of the advertising process. There is a great deal of marketing methods and other types of marketing do have higher costs associated with them.

This step promotes a business in a simple way, but a mobile marketing campaign works, as simple as it may be.

Software Choices for Video

Software Choices For Video Conferences

Finding telecommuting software is a breeze with an online search. Videoconferences have become a popular business tool. It is no wonder, due to the money saved from traveling. There are no extended hotel stays, airfare, and missed days from the office. This saves money for the company. Another advantage is how fast information can be shared and business deals can be arranged.

A large majority of software and conference tools can be obtained online and immediately downloaded. A few software companies offer a free 30-day trial. The average monthly fees range in between $20 to $30 after the free trial has expired.

A few popular choices of conference software are Adobe Connect Professional and Microsoft Lync Online. These are not free software, but if a tight budget is being followed, do a search for some freeware downloads. A couple to try would be Google Chat and DWYco.com. Everyone is familiar with Skype.

Free software does not mean it is a great deal because if the computer or browser does not have the minimum requirements to install the software, it cannot be used. Make sure to check the requirements before downloading. A software update for your computer may be needed before using the conference software.

An online technical degree is not needed before a person can use videoconferencing. The software is easy to use and it is as simple as making a phone call. The difference is the conference is taking place on the computer, you can see the person in a video and it is fun. More than an ordinary phone call, the conference allows face to face chatting, as if there were an actual meeting were taking place in the very room.

It is still amazing at how far technology has advanced in the past two decades. Talking on a computer, face to face, is really fantastic. Who would have ever thought?
